Corruption is essential for democracy ??

Corruption is essential for democracy because democracy requires elections and elections require unaccounted money to buy the ticket to contest and then votes to win.

Having said that, a reasonable limit would be appreciated. The ticket prices in Bihar have gone through the roof.

If a candidate has to spend all his or her money on a ticket, how will one buy votes?

Disgusting to see no price controls in a poor state of this low-income country. When will we have socialism in politics?

Politicians pay lip service to socialism but when it comes to ticket pricing, they follow prohibitively exorbitant practices. This is extortion.

If people spend so much wealth on just getting elected, they will be forced to swindle money from public works and extort from the people, who have to bear the cost of democracy.

I am not calling for cheap democracy. But cost moderation is essential. I request all stakeholders to sit down and by consensus make the process affordable for the rich and powerful so that they are not excessively cruel on the poor people this democracy is meant for.

This corruption doesn't thrive in isolation. The bureaucracy has to make money for the politician so that the politician can keep democracy alive.

Since Bihar is a poor state, it cannot compete with states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab, etc., to have the same rates.

These states are developed to a point that they match the cost, rupee for dollar, of US elections. We are glad to finally outdo developed nations in some departments, but can we first beat them in other departments first, please?

मेरी अधूरी कहानी

ढलते दिन का संगीत सुनकर, रखता हूँ राख, बुझते जीवन से चुनकर, काल के कपाल पर लिखता मिटाता हूँ, एक अधूरी सी कहानी है, जो मनभर गुनगुनाता हूँ!! तारों में लिखी कहानी चुनकर, खिलता हूँ एक आखरी निशानी बनकर, रेत के घरौंदे सा रचता मिटाता हूँ, एक अधूरी सी कहानी है, जो मनभर गुनगुनाता हूँ!! फूलों से टपकी लोरियाँ सुनकर, रखता हूँ नींद से सपने चुनकर, परियों के किस्सों सा जीवन गढ़ता जाता हूँ, एक अधूरी सी कहानी है, जो मनभर गुनगुनाता हूँ!! पुरवाई के झोंकों से झूमकर, रखता हूँ मौजों को सहेज कर, पानी की बूँदों सा बहता जाता हूँ, एक अधूरी सी कहानी है जो मनभर गुनगुनाता हूँ!! रात के अंधेरों से लिपट कर, रखता हूँ तारों को समेट कर, अमावस के चाँद सा खिलता जाता हूँ, एक अधूरी सी कहानी है,जो मनभर गुनगुनाता हूँ!!!

रेत की नाव

उतर सकता था लहरों के साथ, रक्षा की रस्सी कफ़न हो गयी। पंखों पे लग गये पहरे सफ़र में, उड़ने की आशा दफ़न हो गयी। यही नाव मन था आशा हिलोरें बाँधा जो मन को लहर खो गये रेतों औ कंकड़ पे जड़ हो पड़ा जाना जिधर था शहर खो गये किसको सुनायेंगे ये दास्ताँ कि अपने ही ज़िद में पड़े रह गये। समय ले गया ज़िंदगानी चुराकर रेत के नाव सा हम खड़े रह गये।

आखिर जिम्मेदार कौन?

ना जाने कौन है वो लोग जो कहते है, We are proud to be Indians? ना जाने कैसे सो जाते है वो ना मर्द, जो कभी जाति तो कभी धर्म तो कभी बदले की आग में औरतों की आत्मा का चीरहरण कर जाते है? जिन लोगों की सुरक्षा के लिए ये सरकार बनाई गई अपने मतलब के लिए ना जाने क्यों, ये गूंगी, बहरी और अंधी बन जाती है? जिस देश ने औरतों को देवी का दर्जा दिया, वहां अब कोई औरत बिना डर से अकेली नहीं निकल सकती.. इस डर से कि ना जाने कब कौन सा दरिंदा उसका शिकार कर जाएं? जो बेटी बनकर घर सजाती, बहु बनकर रिश्ते, पत्नी बनकर किसी की जिंदगी.. जो मां बनकर एक नई जान इस दुनिया में लाती... ना जाने क्यूँ? हर गाली उससे ही शुरू, उसपे ही खत्म और हर कोई उसे ही चरित्रहीन कह जाता है। बदले की आग, चरित्र की परीक्षा, तानों का प्रहार, ना जाने क्यूँ, हर बार औरतों को ही शिकार बनाया जाता है? काश ये दुनिया सिर्फ मर्दों की होती, यहां औरतों का अक्स भी ना होता! तब शायद इन दरिंदो को औरतों की अहमियत की कद्र होती..! हर जगह क्राइम, पर मीडिया तो अंधी भक्त बन बैठी है। जिन्हें हैदर, सीमा और लव जिहाद दिखाकर लोगों के अंदर नफरत का कीड़ा बोने से फुर्सत ही नही...
